Monster High DRACUBECCA Doll Review

Dracubecca Monster High

Since we are home to a Steampunk comic and since my daughter’s favorite Monster High doll is Draculaura we chose Dracubecca to review.

Dracubecca is from the new Monster High line called Freaky Fusion.  This line combines different dolls to form new(ish) characters.  In this case Draculaura and Robecca Steam.

The box says:

During the Bite=Centennial, the ghouls discover an old scientist’s workshop and travel back 200 years to the beginning of  Monster High.  But when they try to get home, they go through a vortex that fuses some of the ghouls together!  With the help of the Hybrids, the new monsters in school, they learn how to control their combined flaws and together face their greatest challenge…the Save Frankie!

Let’s start with the box.   I really like the new box design–it’s more of a 3-D box and not flat in the front.  I don’t know if this will take up more shelf space.   I like the cute “scientist” back ground with the vortex.  I also like the photos to see the combinations.

The doll herself is really pretty.  She has the riveted “skin” of Robecca with the pretty pink tone of Draculaura.  Another obvious combination is the eyes.  She has the cog shaped eyes of Robecca  but they are colored purple like Draculaura.   The Vampire girl’s cute heart mark is also transformed to incorporate the style of both girls.

You can’t see the earrings very well in the photo, but they are cute.  A cog at the top and bottom, with a heart-shaped clock in the center.

Her dress is cute.  It has the Draculaura pink and black mixed up with Robecca’s blue and copper colors.  The belt has a copper look in a design that is similar to the wings.  The center front has a heart, while the back has 3 hearts going down the bustle like design (I turned it in the photo so you could see the back.)

Her boots are a perfect combination of Draculaura’s tall lace-ups mixed with Robecca’s gears and rocket boosters on the bottom.

The combination is again evident in her hair.  She has the black hair and pink stripe of Draculaura with a stripe of blue from Robecca.  Robecca’s goggles are there, but now they are heart shaped.

I was worried about how these dolls would look, but overall I really like this one.  I have to wait until I see some of the other ones before deciding on those.

These dolls are showing up in stores and on Amazon.
