Stranger Things 80’s Parody Posters are Like Totally Awesome!

If you are like us, you are counting down the days to Stranger Things Season 2.  The first season embraced the 1980’s and was pretty accurate in it’s look and feel.  The show itself reminded us of iconic movies from the era.

Netflix has a Stranger Things Twitter account and a Stranger Things Facebook if you follow these you can see they have been putting up flashbacks to the first season, funny videos, interviews, and parody posters inspired by movies that likely inspired the show.

So far there are four of them, and there will probably be more released the closer we get to the new season, which airs on October 27.

Alien (1979)

Running Man (1987)

A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984)  Using Nancy was a nice touch.

Stand By Me (1986)

From these posters I think we are meant to infer these are the movies that are inspiring the direction of Season 2.

Here’s a look at the trailer for the new season, in case you missed it.

I look forward to watching.  Stranger Things Season 2 will be released on October 27th on Netflix.  If you haven’t watched the first season, grab some Eggo’s and chocolate pudding and get watching!
