The surprise hit Netflix series Stranger Things is coming back strong this Halloween.
No, we’re not just talking about the premiere of Season 2.
We’re talking about merchandise. Lots and lots of it.
Spirit Halloween seems to be ground zero for all things Hawkins, Indiana. Aside from costumes of Eleven, Dustin and Hopper, the temporary Halloween store chain is sticking a variety of merchandise like Joyce’s rotary phone (which attaches to a cell phone), an Eggo purse, Dustin’s trucker cap and yes, the famous wall full of Christmas lights.
You can see more of the Stranger Things merchandise in the Spirit Halloween tour video below.
Netflix to increase subscription rates
If you want to watch Stranger Things 2, you might have to pay a little more. Beginning today, Netflix will be raising the price of its standard streaming service from $9.99 to $10.99 and its premium service from $11.99 to $13.99.
“From time to time, Netflix plans and pricing are adjusted as we add more exclusive TV shows and movies, introduce new product features and improve the overall Netflix experience to help members find something great to watch even faster,” the company said in a statement.
In other words, if subscribers want more new shows like Stranger Things, Netflix needs to generate more revenue. Or so they claim.
Stranger Things 2 premieres on Netflix on Friday, October 27, 2017. Official Stranger Things costumes and merchandise is available this Halloween at Spirit Halloween stores all over the country.
